Will be moving to canada soon which is better job and climate wise calgary or Toronto? Thanks in advance?

Q:

A: I moved to Calgary from the Uk about 4 months ago. Let me tell you...there are loads of jobs here. It's ridiculous in fact! If you are moving here for the first time, make sure you have some savings, as the banks treat you like you just fell out of the sky. Getting credit is not easy. In fact loads of things are really frustrating in the first few weeks, but it's manageable. We have bought a house and a car since we arrived so it's definitely possible. It helps if you bank with an international bank who have a branch here. Climate wise, July was hot hot here. So far August has cooled off a bit, but they say it will get hot again. I haven't had my first winter here yet, but extreme heat or cold is made easiier to bear by the low humidity. Toronto has more humidity than Calgary. If you love big cities, then Toronto could be your thing, but if you love nature then Calgary is the spot. Ontario has beautiful nature too, but it takes ages just to get out of the city. From Calgary, you can be in the Rockies in about an hour driving. My advise on emigrating...take it one day at a time, and lower expectations. Expectations only cause frustration. Things are done differently everywhere you go, and expecting a Calgary business to operate like a London one is unrealistic. As with all places, some things are done better here, and some are not, and it all takes getting used to when you're new! The best of luck to you!
