Q: On July 25 Calgary had a power blackout in the heart of the city at around 11:50PM but there is no mention of it by the Calgary press, city hall, or Enmax. It was very similar to the blackout in Montreal. The only people that seem to have noticed the problem are the residents of the neibourhoods. Does anyone know why there was a blackout?
A: I don't remember there being a storm - sometimes they just regulate power by blacking some neighborhoods out for a few min at a time. I've heard there's been people stealing the copper from the power lines - I wonder if that has anything to do with it...
