Q: Does anyone know any public lakes in Calgary? The kind that you can go swimming to, no matter where you live? Also, is it possible to go to residential lakes if you don't live in the lake's community? If so, about how much would it cost?? Thank you =)
A: Community lakes almost always make it so you have to live in the community or know someone that does. You can make the short 10 minute drive out to Chestermere Lake out the East side of the city. Its public but the lake really isn't that great. Your best bet for a great lake is to drive you to sylvan lake but it is a couple hours and you may have to make a day out of it. Have fun!!
