A: Cougar Ridge or West Springs are both good communities and both relatively new. As for the commute to downtown, on good days....20 min, on bad 30 min.....on snowy, icy days, getting off the hill can be over 1 hour (about 3 times a year). One good thing about living in those communities is that you are about 1 hour from Banff, so if you enjoy the outdoors, it is the perfect place to escape to. Also, if you do a lot of air travel, the commute to the airport is horrible, as the quickest route takes you through downtown.
