A: Don't listen to these people suggesting VIA runs between Vancouver and Calgary. Via Rail's 'Canadian' route runs between Toronto and Vancouver via Edmonton, not Calgary. The route between Calgary and Vancouver was cancelled many many years ago. There is no regular passenger train running out of Calgary to anywhere. However if you are a rich traveller, there is a luxury tourist train called the Rocky Mountaineer that goes between Vancouver and Calgary.
