what are some cool places to visit while vacationing in Canada?

A: If you are already in Calgary, rent a car, drive west on Route 1 , about 1 1/2 hours from Calgary is Banff. Lake Loise is another 20 minutes. Then take Columbia Parkway north to Icefields ending up in Jasper. Lots of elk near highway there. Then head east to Edmonton, then south back to Calgary. A relaxing week and you get a chance to stop places. If you are in southern Ontario, Niagara Falls comes to mind, Toronto, Wonderland Amusement park an hour north of Toronto, six hour drive east and Montreal, beautiful city, another 2 hours and historic Quebec City. If you enter Canada on the east coast, Prince Edward Island is a no brainer, sandy beaches, warm water, golf, 11kilometer bridge,lobster. Nova Scotia has among other places, Cabot Trail, awesome coastal drive, Annapolis Valley, great fruit growing area, Lunenburg area. New Brunswick has the tidal bore, magnetic hill, reversing falls, covered bridges. These 3 area are all within a 12 hour drive, one end to the other. And then there is Newfoundland. A long ferry ride from North Sydney to a rock full of moose. Beautiful rugged terrain, windswept plateaus and a gregarious local people that'll leave you never forgetting your visit. The Far North has some gorgeous areas as well, Crossing the McKenzie River on a ferry at Fort Providence, into Yellowknife. Fishing for some of the biggest catches any fisherman would be proud to brag about. Fort Liard on the way to the Dempster Highway is worth visiting and on to Inuvik and the Arctic Ocean.If you like rocks and tundra, lots of wildlife, comfortable temp in summer. There you go, some cool places to visit. There is a flatland in the west as well and northern Quebec takes too long to drive there. Enjoy Canada.
