anyone have suggestions on how to get from calgary to toronto with bus or train...or is it even possible?

Q:

A: You can take the Greyhound bus. To make the trip more comfortable take something non perishable to eat and lots of bottled water. When I travelled greyhound from B.C. to Nova Scotia last year there was no running water on the buses. The bus driver said it was because people were drinking it. We had to use bottled water to wash with and brush teeth, etc. I found it was cheaper to buy a 7 day discover Canada Pass. You have 7 days travel and can get off in different towns, etc. and catch the bus to go further at your convenience. It's the cheapest way to travel but having done a lot of travel I can tell you the service leaves a lot to be desired. You can also take the train but it is expensive. It is definitely a great way to go if you can afford it. There is a bar car, dining car and domed car and you also get a berth with a bed, private toilet, etc. You can catch both in Calgary which will take you to Toronto. Note: You get your fare cheaper for either by booking 7 days in advance. My suggestion would be to take the train for the most pleasant trip. Booking through a travel agent is recommended because they can often find you the best prices for the time you want to travel. Good luck. http://www.greyhound.ca/ http://www.viarail.ca/en_index.html
