Q:

A: Technically, we don't have "felonies" - we have "indictable offences". Given our history, however, there will be great similarity between the list of "more serious offences" in Canada, the US, the UK, other common law nations, and most otehr western societies. Your criminal record will be considered when you are looking at visiting Canada - particularly if applyng for a visa or otehr form of immigration status. This does not mean you will necessarily be barred from entry because of a DUI or possession charge, e.g., but it could play a factor. Perhaps you need some more specifics? Or to consult a consulate or embassy?
