Q: And now that Ive lived here 6 months I find the people are rude and unfriendly, theres a bunch of crime (my car tires were slashed), and dont even talk to me about their hockey team. Whats good about this place that I dont know about?
A: Well, if you've moved here from the states I can understand why you feel the way you do. My family and I just moved here from Colorado. I'm a US Citizen and my husband is Canadian. For both of us it has been quite shocking just how narcissistic Calgarians are (we live just south of Calgary). We moved here because we thought it would be a better place to raise our kids. We are beginning to wonder! The only thing I can suggest is that you be a good Ambassador (representative) from where ever you are from. That is how I am now approaching the move. Have people realize just how nice you are and they won't know what to say except kind things to you/your country.
