Q: i am driving from guelph ontario to calgary alberta. can anyone help me with directions. i've tried mapquest but it says that i have to go through the united states. is there a way to go from guelph to calgary without going into the u.s.a? pls help me out... thanks in advance

A: To go through the US is quickest, but... Go to Toronto, get on 400 north til it turns into 69, which ends in Sudbury. Get on 17 west. This is the Trans-Canada Highway. It will turn into Route 1 at Manitoba, and will remain 1 all the way through Sask and into Alberta. You can't miss Calgary, it's smack in the middle of the road!
