Q: How much spending money should I take with me for 3 weeks in Canada? 2 Weeks are staying with someone, 1 week will be in a hotel, and I want to do some of the touristy stuff like Caraway Park, going to Banff, Lake Louise, Shopping in West Edmonton...any ideas?
A: If you like to spend a lot of money and eat out a lot, I'd take an average of about $40 or $50 per day (just for eating and shopping--you won't spend as much when your at your friend's house, but it will even out the week you are on you own). As far as budgeting for hotels or campgrounds (Banff Nat'l Park is amazing!), do your research online and find the most reasonable rates and make your reservations now!
