A: I was born and raised in Medicine Hat and am now living in the USA. It's a city of about 60,000, many of whom are retired farmers from the vicinity and farming communities in Saskatchewan near the Alberta/Saskatchewan border. Medicine Hat has always been a "wanna be" city---They want to be like Calgary, like Edmonton, like Toronto---like something they definitely are not. As a result, there's an odd mixture of prairie dog mentality intertwined with cosmopolitan glam. Additionally, a recent triple-murder in Medicine Hat has made national headlines.
