Q: My husband and I live in Los Angeles. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta and left when he was 7. He is trying to find on the Internet the place where he lived. It was a farm on the RR7, South Edmonton and he went to school at the Wye School on Wye Road, but there is no data on any mapping system that can find it anymore. Anyone from Edmonton who knows what happened to that place and that school?
A: The school still exists but it is now located at Sherwood park which is about 15 min. away from south-side. Below is the school link: http://www.wyeschool.ca/ And it's still located at Wye Rd. Wye Rd is now located at Sherwood park as well. As for the farm on the RR7, it's probably one of the residence area for those who are now residing in Sherwood park at Wye Rd since Sherwood park is strikingly a suburban and independent area similar to Downtown in Edmonton without the high rise buildings now.
