Q: im planning to move.im from Montreal and its so hard to find caregiver JOB here.i'm a Filipino..they said Edmonton is now great place for jobs..

A: It sounds like you're not really sure where you'd like to relocate to. You got some very good answers to this question in the Calgary and Vancouver answers. You can check out some Edmonton caregiver positions at: http://jobbank.gc.ca/JobResult_en.aspx?CommGrouping=GAB005&Category=3*&Sources=JobBank,Government&Student=No You will notice that the wage range is approx $12.75 to $14.00 per hour. You should know that the cost of living in any one of the three cities will eat up your earnings and then some. Rental accommodations in anyone of the 3 cities is very expensive and in Edmonton and Calgary the vacancy rate is at approx 1% making it difficult to find affordable housing. As with Calgary, Edmonton is experiencing a job boom and the health care industry is definitely recruiting caregivers both male and female. You may want to check that your credentials are honored in Alberta first. Good Luck.
