Q: Im just wondering, i have a job in edmonton canada where i get paid 11 dollars before tax, could some tell me how much id end up with after taxes? Urgetn & thanks!;)

A: Well it has been a few years since I last worked in Edmonton but your gross on a 40 hour week will be $440, figure at a single person deduction of 10% for Income Tax, and CPP and EI around $12-15 each so your looking at between $375-380 weekly and $750-760 roughly bi-weekly, it is enough to survive in Edmonton, one advantage is no provincial tax, but the GST is there. I lived there in the 1980's when working in a restaurant in the northwest end I lived at Stoney Plain Rd and 156th st, rents have gone up since then, but the biggest thing to remember is to be careful with your money, and spend wisely.
