Q: i would like to go to the U of A so I was just wondering a few thing about it, like is there any malls or anything of that sort near by ? and what part of town is it ? Im having a lot of trouble finding this kind of info . so anything will help. thankss !
A: One thing i find very useful is google earth, download it, install it and type University of Alberta..it will give you directions to malls parks, restaurants etc. I dont want to say living here is great, I moved here 6 years ago, but it doesnt take long to get to know the city, I dont know if you have a vehicle, but if you dont its okay the buses run very often and the train system is good too, I would say.. avoid the north side of the city..downtown is nice lots of things to do, parks running trails lots of festivals in the summer, close to Uof A is Whyte Avenue, which is a very popular party place lots of bars restaurants shops... there is a big mall which is supposed to be one of the biggest in the world, there is lots to do there too, but thats more west of the city you can get there by bus or driving takes 20 mins from UofA if you like hockey..you are in the right place..Edmontonians love Hockey and love the Oilers..
