Q: A group of us will be in Halifax during the Tattoo in July. Where is best to see it from? Any behind-the-scenes walks/tours you can take? And if Tattoo takes up most of the town, what are the best ways to avoid all the congestion/traffic?
A: The Tattoo is always held at the Halifax Metro Center (http://www.halifaxmetrocentre.com) For event info visit here: http://www.halifaxmetrocentre.com/index.cfm?main=events&mid=1&action=view&EventID=1209 As for behind the scenes I am unaware but if you call the Metro centre I am sure they could tell you. Tattoo is inside to my knowledge. The traffic and congestion is easily avoided by parking in a shopping mall parking lot or at the casino if you are going to gamble and either walk through the pedways if you're close or take the public bus system. very steep hills I dont recommend walking out side, pedways would be the best walking option. Have fun, it's a good show every year.
