Q: is the health care going up or down? if anyone answers please give me more information about Nova Scotia's health care

A: Canadians like to bitch about our health care system, but it's far superior to a lot of places. In Nova Scotia there are some challenges in finding doctors in the smaller rural areas. If you're thinking of moving to the province, Halifax is the centre for medical specialties. Kentville has a new, modern hospital and a fairly good-sized health care community. Yarmouth has a new hospital. Lunenburg's hospital is an okay size, same for Antigonish, Port Hawksbury and Sydney. Outside of those paces, some of the smaller hospitals have difficulties maintaining their emergency room staffing. I have an elderly parent and we're always able to get her into a doctor or the hospital when needed. I'm pretty happy with the level of service.
