Q: What are good web sites or other places to look for jobs and apartments to rent?

A: It depends on where they're moving and what type of work they're looking for. There are pretty good opportunities in the Halifax area in lots of different fields. Housing is fairly cheap if you're coming from a bigger city. Rent in the downtown area is probably from $750/mth and up. Houses on the downtown peninsula area are about $350,000 and up. Try the Chronicle Herald newspaper website for jobs/apartments. Outside of the Halifax area good jobs may be harder to find.
