Q: I'm in Halifax, Nova Scotia and I'm looking for some Chinaware. I want some black human chinaware figures. What stores would sell these?
A: I don't know specifically about black figurines, but there is a large china shop on the upper level of the Halifax Shopping Centre. It's mostly English and Irish bone china. As I said, I don't think they would have what you want, however, they might be able to direct you to a story that does carry this stuff - if anyone has it in stock. Saunders Tartan & Gifts in New Minas are major importers of china. You might call them to see if they could point you to a shop selling these. Otherwise, you might call the Black Cultural Centre outside Dartmouth (Cherry Brook, I think) for a recommendation or the Black Business Initiative in Halifax - it's an organization made up of black entrepreneurs.
