Q: I am contemplating moving from Saint John, NB to Halifax, NS. It used to be my favourite city but it's been 10 years since I've last visited. I now have a chance to relocate but I have a daughter in middle school and heard that it's not the same town it used to be, with the crime rates going up and all. Are there any fellow Maritimers out there that could give me some advise?
A: I haven't lived in Halifax, but I've been there a few times -- and it seems to me that it is a safe and lovely place -- if I could move there I would! I know a couple of people who live there and they love it. My grandmere is from Cocagne and Moncton, NB.
