Q: How is the transportation system there ? Can I staydowntown for shopping and stuff ? I am visiting this summer. Thanks !
A: Metro Transit covers the city but in a unique Haligonian way; directions will be needed. The downtown is small enough for walking, but hilly in places. Metro Transit offers a free downtown shuttle bus called FRED during the summer. The are tons of metered taxis everywhere. It's one great town. Enjoy your stay, and have a Propeller Bitter at The Old Triangle for me.
