Q: I would like to know how the whole currency conversion thing works... I mean, can I use my US credit cards and be charged the Canadian dollars? Also, if I'd like some Canadian cash where can I get it?
A: 1) yep you can use your credit cards. 2) you'll be charged in canadian $ by the retail/service you you are buying , while the card company will do the conversion for you and charge you something 3) Get Canadian $ from any ATM machine - the bank & or credit card comp. will charge you some small conversion fee. Or get some traveller's cheques before you leave home. 4)have fun...
