Q: I received an e mail from Katarina Onuschak from Certified Canadian Immigration Consultant (CCIC). She said in her e mail that Montreal doesn't like to accept people who are over the age of 35. Is this true?
A: Well, she is not doing her job very well (actually, she probably wants you to move to Toronto or wherever her hometown is). Of course people over 35 are encouraged to move to Montreal! Who else could run the companies and be the college professors? Now, I won't lie... Maybe the clubs (and possibly some of the bars) will not allow you entry but that doesn't mean that you can't have fun! Montreal has a wide array of fine restaurants you can dine at (and probably afford unlike your student counterparts). Montreal has tons of museums and other activities that any age group can participate in. Some examples include the Biodome, La Ronde (amusement park), and Mont Royal (aka the mountain). Hope you have fun wherever you decide to live!
