Q: I am a mexican mother who is very worried because my daughter who is 18 went to Montreal today. I told her to let me know as soon as she was there and had had no answer. she arrived there 5 hours ago and I think it is time enough to call. This is the first time she goes on her own. I know she is not a baby but I am really worried. Can someone please help me telling me the time to get there.Or if someone lives near that address let me know.
A: Just go to Google or Yahoo maps and put in the address. Using "Get Directions", you can type in "YUL" for the airport code, and "Beaubien, Montreal, QC, Canada" for the street. If going on the highway, it is about 30 minutes to get from north side of Montreal to south side, and no more than an hour to get from west end to east end. Montreal is a pretty safe city, so it is possible she did not call yet or did not figure out how to dial home (you have to enter 011-52- then your number in Mexico) or her plane was delayed. I would not contact them until 24 hours have passed, since they will not consider this issue a missing persons case until that time.
