Q: Hey I'm thinking of moving to Montreal in spring 2008. I have a few friends living there as well as my sister. I am bilingual but my second language is Spanish, NOT French. I was wondering what my job options are (High school graduate) or if there are jobs that look for spanish speakers. The jobs I've heard of for english speakers are a typing job for the deaf and a call center job. Anything would help...English job options too. Thank you, Merci... gracias :)
A: Spanish speakers not so much as far as unilingual English speakers there is not to much options, call centers who hire only English speakers, hmmm, perhaps as a nanny, working in a hotel as a maid although even that is iffy. Try areas of Westmount, N.D.G and Montreal West and Cote St. Luc. Might try the West Island too. Perhaps factory work. Sorry, not to many options wish I could think of more!
