Q: I'm going to Montreal in a couple weeks with 3 of my friends, we're all 18 and 19 and were just wondering the best places to go. Any suggestions?

A: There are a few areas in Montreal where there is a concentration of bars and clubs. The first is on Crescent St. The second is on St. Laurent (there is also St. Denis which isn't too far from St. Laurent). And then there is the Gay Village which is on St. Catherine right by the Beaudry metro. Crescent is primarily the English speaking area. St. Laurent/St. Denis is primarily the French speaking area (but everyone speaks English). And the Gay Village is pretty self-explanatory. I would recommend Brutopia on Crescent (one block south of St. Catherine - ask for the apricot beer), McKibbins on Bishop (just one street west of Crescent and north of St. Catherine), and St. Sulpice on St. Denis (about a block or two south of Sherbrooke). Hope you enjoy your trip!
