Q: Hi Guys, A friend and I are planning a 5-day trip to Montreal. From booking web sites, it would cost us each about $500-$600 for a decent hotel (3-star or above) in a decent area. So, I am thinking about renting a short-term aparment/condo. From my research, I can rent it for a week for same price (or cheaper) with hotels. Renting an apartment seems much better since you could get a bigger place (2 bedrooms, a ketchen, and a fireplace) Local calls are also free... Since I am new to traveling, I have questions about short-term apartment. 1.) It is just like me renting a long-term apartment, right? I can go places or have friends vist me at any time during my stay, right? 2.) What kind of contract do I need to sign? Is this too risky since I don't know any French? 3.) Are there more hidden fees that I should know about? 4.) Could you recommend me good apartment for rent that you know? Any pros and cons of both choices would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

A: 5 Days isn't really worth renting a condo/apt there are good hotels with reasonable prices or furnished apts. contracts: I don't advise for 5 days But this site will give you all the insights on short-term. Hidden fees : usually Deposits depends on the landlord or middle man ( in this case a rental office ) check the sites below for references.
