A: Quebec is pretty much french and most people there are quite anti-english. They have a silly law prohibiting English on signs or the English part has to be much smaller than the French part. Quebec French is far different from France French. Quebec has been wanting for years to separate from Canada (become its own country) but when the referendum was held about 10 years ago it lost in its bid...all of Canada got to vote, not just Quebec. But still, Quebec makes a lot of demands on the Canadian government for special treatment and they still want to separate and still get to use Canadian dollars. I know a lot of people moved out of Quebec because of the government policies, especially towards English. My van broke down in Quebec once, but the person at the garage wouldn't help us, until we came back later with friends who had Quebec license plate and one of them was French.
