Q: i would think so, but i'm being told that i'd have a better immersion experience in smaller quebec towns, since quebec city apparenty has too much english in it! is this true? i would love to go to quebec city because it seems like a really fun place, but my reason for visiting quebec is to immerse myself in the french language and i don't want to just end up speaking english! merci. :)

A: You will do well and learn a lot if you live in an immersion situation where no English is spoken, such as with a unilingual French family. There is quite a bit of English spoken in Quebec City, and less in smaller towns, so that is certainly a consideration. Your living arrangements will make a great difference. Best of luck with your plans.
