Where in quebec is the plains of abraham?

Q: The city,or more along old Quebec?

A: Downtown, along the St. Lawrence river. Mind you it's like a 500ft drop down to the river. There is a old fort there too which the invading forces climbed up to attack and they took over the City from the French I believe. There is a beautiful boardwalk from the plains of Abraham down to this fortress and you can go down further to this luxury hotel I forget the name. It looks kind of like the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa but different... The plains of abrahams is kind of just a grassy park-ish area. you can picnic there and it's very nice. We walked all theway down to this old city. The city is so old, it looks liek you are in FRANCE! There is tons of nice bars. We went to one and it is in a basement it looked like a dungeon. It was very cool. They even have cobblestone streets in some of the areas! It's like doing a time warp to the year 1700. It's AMAZING..... Quebec City is EASILY the most beautiful city in Canada. It's so different and so European looking. It's wonderful. Can't wait to go back. I hope I get to go back in my lifetime. If you go there, Check out the Waterfalls east of the city. I forget the name but they have huge waterfalls, they are quite spectacular for viewing. It's not some tiny thing either, it's enormous and breathtaking, hundreds of feet high too. Also Orleans Island is across from it, and it's a nice Island in the middle of the St. Lawrence, it's good for a drive. If you want to drive for an hour and a half or something, you can go to a beautiful town ( I think) Baie St. Paul........This town is gorgeous and when you get there and go down to the St. Lawrence river, you notice something has changed about it. IT HAS BECOME SALTY, and you smell the salt. You smell the Ocean...There is also TIDES there. It is pretty neat to have salt water and tides so close to the city. Go there if you can, I believe they even have whale watching but i'm not sure how good it is, I didn't have money to go..but the drive was wonderful and VERY MOUNTAINOUS! It's a beautiful country and if you are going there, have fun!
