A: It is (thankfully) mostly a Quebec dubbing, mostly for movies or a comical/humour series (like The Simpsons, for example), so yes they will dub ''twice''. But it's just the movie production company that pays a dubbing company in Quebec to dub the film for the Quebec market. The dubbing is not done in Quebec accent or with Quebec slang (except for the Simpsons, King of the Hill, South Park and the like) but simply using very neutral standard French. French dubbing from France tends to be irritating for the average Quebecer, as the accent is very different and more ''imposing'', I would say and they tend to use words that are only used in France, whereas a Quebec-dubbed version will use standard French words that any French speaker would understand. But if for example there's a movie scene when there's a joke being told, most of the time Quebecers won't get it, since the French have a different sense of humour. Sometimes you'll get the Quebec-dubbed version at the movie theatre but the France-dubbed version in video stores - as it was the case for American Pie II or III I think -, and let me tell you, renting the movie was HORRIBLE.
