A: When I lived in Deauville, just a town or two over from Sherbrooke, we used to be able to rent pedal boats and pontoon boats and go out on Little Lake Magog to enjoy a hot summer day. You may want to check if they still have boat rentals or a beach that you can have a birthday picnic/swim/boat ride. It has been ages since I went there and they built a whole bunch of condos where the old public beach/boat dock used to be, but you can check the Pages Jaunes for that area to see if anything is available in that area or near Magog.
