Q: Please tell me if it compares better than to America for example; on health care or employment (i'm an lpn by the way). Any information would be greatly appreciated.
A: I'm American living in Canada, you know for me it was a really good move. I make almost double the money and work almost half the hours a week. I own a much nicer home now than I did in Missouri. I've been here for 2 years now. In my opinion SW ontario is really where you want to go. Go thru the CIC to start your immigration process, DO NOT use a lawyer for this, the paperwork is easy but get copies of everything before you leave the US like drivers license abstract,insurance abstract,marriage & death papers,educational transcripts, FBI check with fingerprints, copy of your medical records. Canada is big on prove what you say so you will need them. If I can be of further assistance let me know. I think the health care is very good here. You will not have a problem as an LPN finding a job after you write the Ministries exam for your Canadian license.
