Q: Does anyone else notice how different the west end of Toronto is compared to everywhere else in Toronto. I live in North York and it was my first time just driving through that area and it looked like a whole different city to me. Like the buildings are all old and they're all street shops, i dont think i saw one single mall....

A: Yes, I do know that the west end of the city is very different, and I think quite awesome. My daughter lives in Bloor West village in a main floor apartment in an old house. It is lovely. She walks at night in the neighborhood quite safely. She is about 200 yards from Bloor Street, and most things they need on a regular basis are within walking distance - groceries, drug store, convenience stores, coffee shops, book store, etc.
