Q:

A: On Main streets I would say at all times you can walk in peace. There may be the occasional homeless person asking you for change or possibly a mentally challenged person yelling something on the street, but this is an all day thing. If you can turn a blind eye to these things than you should be fine downtown. As a rule of thumb I would say dont be out when all of the bars are closing and everyone is leaving. There tend to be more drunk rowdies at that time. If you stick with the main routes though most have a little sign of life all times of day.
