As for best, Forest Hill/Rosedale, St Clair east or west, Scarborough in areas like around Vic Park or Kennedy. But there all going to cost you, my rent went up and I now pay almost $700 a month (rent controlled) for a one bedroom/studio type in the lower part of the complex and I am in an 8 plex, in the city now a 1 bdrm is going for $790-800, a 2 bdrm $900-1100 and 3 bdrm $1200-1600, if your coming to the city for college or a job, rent a room and get some money built up, I did, and I am over 50, it saves being strapped for month making up for the first/last months and living on beans and toast for dinner, and unless your able to bring all your furnishing with you, a furnished place can run up to $500 a week here.
