Q: Im going to make the above trip in about a month and have no idea what to expect. I was wondering about things like how long approx. is the drive? how far is the drive? How can i keep it cheap? Is there any websites i can go to to get more info on that sort of trip?

A: I would suggest going through the U.S. because gas is cheaper here. Come through Michigan, stay on 94 through Minneapolis and head west to Great Falls on 200 once you hit Montana. Then go north from Great Falls. Here's a potential route Day 1: London to Tomah, WI (10.5) Day 2: Tomah to Bismarck, ND(10) Day 3:Bismarck to Great Falls, MT(9) Day 4: Great Falls to Calgary(5) or you could consolidate to make it in 3 days. Just don't go overboard. My friend is going to Halifax from Michigan and she's driving through the U.S., not Canada, because she figures it's cheaper.
