A: I was one of those inconvenienced. I asked the ticket taker what the problem was. He said "an injury at track level" at Bloor and Yonge which usually means someone jumped in front of the subway train to commit suicide. They have about 50 attempts per week. The TTC does not publicize these attempts for obvious reasons. OKAY Mr. Smaty Pants "Jim B". For starters, I did not say that the ticket taker told me there were 50 suicides per day, he said there were several (50) "attempts" per week. His number, not mine. Also, the problem was during rush hour, the police were called to the Yonge/Bloor Station. It was announced as a medical emergency. Yes, there are repairs going on from Lawrence Station to Finch. The TTC does not shut down the subway for repairs during rush hour with thousands of people sitting in subway cars in the tunnels.
