Q: Vancouver housing cost more then Toronto and the cost of food is the same in each city in Canada.
A: I wouldnt say it's cheaper in Vancouver. I've lived both places... food & gas is 15-20% more costly here in Van, house prices are much higher than To for sure but rents I think are similar. Here in BC you need to pay medical premiums unless you make under $25K/year.. for a single person thats an extra $65/month. I think Ontario OHIP is not charged for? Electric/gas bill a little less costly in winter out here as not as cold.
