Q: Hey, I was wondering if i live in scarbrough and dial a "area code 289" number, will I get billed for the long distance? I heard its an overlay of the 905 area.lol Just asking because I recently got a girl's number who i randomly met at a mall :) btw im 16 years old soon [i know none of u care but im just bored]
A: You will be asked to dial "1" for long distance call. If you dial 289 and it doesn't ask you to dial 1 then it's considered local.
