Q: I really want to send this pillowcase and card to Toronto. I want to know all the materials I will need, and how to get them. I know, obviously, that I will need a package...but I have no idea where to get one. I know they sell them at the postage office but I think they were expensive. Also tape...and what stamps? Sorry, I have no clue about all this stuff because I've never done it before. I have the address and know how to address it. I really wanted to know the information before I went to the post office to save money. (Also how much do you think it will cost, and how long?)

A: A pillow case is easy because you can use a large, heavy duty envelope. So: A standard 9x12 padded envelope A pen to write the address Postage - I'm guessing 5 or 6 ounces, which puts you about $5.00 Since you're sending to Canada, you'll have to get a Customs form to stick on the envelope. You get those at the Post Office. You have to use stamps that have the actual postage value printed on them; you can't use Forever stamps for international mail. It's pretty easy to do this all at the Post Office. Put the pillow case and card in the envelope. Seal it and address it. Go to the PO, get a Customs form (they're about 4"x6" with green print) and complete that, then present yourself at the counter and smile. The clerk will take it from there.
