Toronto night clubs - dress code?

Q: Hey guys! I can't wait to come to Toronto, I'm coming over from Australia in about 12 months, so I was just wondering what the dress code is like at nightclubs for guys? Can you get away with singlets or flip flops or anything like that at all? Any help would be great! Thanks guys

A: It really depends on the club - some are more specific with what they'll allow and what they don't. I've been to lounges with flip flops on, but had nice jeans and a more put together look (wasn't completely casual) - though girls can probably get away with more than guys. I'd suggest not to wear flip flops Some clubs want you to "dress to impress", and some are more casual. Just wear something in the middle - for guys, jeans (not ripped) and a nice button-down shirt are the usual at clubs.
