Q: My son is doing a project on Toronto for geography class. He has general information such as population of the city propper and the GTA, the economy, the city government, tourist attractions, etc. Can anyone give any other information on the city? A: One great thing about Toronto that he can focus on is how the city thrives and nurtures its multicultural roots. We are proud to be Canadians but we also celebrate each other's heritage. This is part of Toronto's identity and something that a visitor would certainly take away after a trip here. We hold festivals like Caribana to celebrate Caribbean culture, Taste of the Danforth for Greek culture, we have a festival called CHIN Picnic to celebrate Italian culture. We have a great Chinatown district and within Chinatown, an area called Kensington Market which is a perfect snapshot of the city's diversity. Good luck!
