Q: Ok so i need to get from my house to the university of toronto and i was wondering how i find out how to get there using TTC and what time i need to take the bus at?

A: The TTC is working on a "Trip Planner" feature which is to be added to their website in the next little while. For now though, you'd have to rely on the schedules on their website, their "Ride Guide" maps, or their information phone line as others have already mentioned. You can also make use of this site which combines Google Maps with the TTC's entire service map. See: http://crazedmonkey.com/toronto-transit-map If you put in the location of your starting point or destination, you'll be able to see which bus and/or subway routes service the area, and then map out a trip accordingly. You may have to flip back and forth between the map I've linked to and the TTC's website for current schedules and clearer route maps, but it's one of the better alternatives I've come across thus far. Hope this helps.
