Q: Do you know any place that has old buildings or monuments...etc in etobicoke? preferrabily at lakeshore other than Humber College's lakeshore campus. Thanks! It doesn't have to be in Etobicoke only, anything in the west side of Toronto will do as well. :)

A: In High Park, there is the Colbourne Lodge, a building that dates to 1840. The Coulborne family donated the entire 400 cares of the modern day High Park to the city of Toronto. It is located in the south end of High Park, just north of The Queensway, at Colbourne Lodge drive. At Islington and Dundas street west, is the Montgomery Inn , a stage coach inn and tavern, dating from 1830. It is a historical site, operated by the Toronto Historical Board. Do a Google for the THB website, to learn more about Toronto historic buildings. here is a link to the Montgomery Inn. http://www.etobicokehistorical.com/Montgomery_s_Inn/montgomery_s_inn.html Enjoy .
