Q: I'm thinking of taking my girlfriend to Vancouver for her birthday in August. I've never been and would ask if anyone recommend the best areas of the city to stay? Thanks for your help.
A: coal harbor is an extremely nice area, but good luck finding a hotel that merciful to wallets. Some good areas to go are Stanley park (it may still be closed after a recent major windstorm) Granville Island, Kitsilano Beach... for a beautiful hike/walk, go to Indian Arm for a nature hike. You could also take the Vancouver Ferry to Bowen island (very foresty) or Vancouver island. Good luck!
