Q: we're a quiet couple from manila and we're first time immigrants. we don't have relatives at vancouver. we hope to get a beginner's budget friendly place. we will be bringing very minimal stuff. a semi-furnished apartment, near shops and transportation will be fine. we will be there on first week of december '07. thanks.
A: try around the ubc area, as it is a college area the rate's are usually good, and they have very good bus sevice there as it is the terminal area (only bout 15mins to downtown).!! as for job have you tried craigslist. they usually have good ads up. also if ur bringin minimal furniture, look in craigslist under free stuff people in vancouver alway giving away furniture, all u av 2do is collect it..!!!
