Wreck Beach is a blast, go on a Sunday if you are a little freaked out about the whole thing, it's more of a family day. Don't venture too far to the left or the right at the bottom of the stairs, you'll know you've gone too far when you don't see many women and the men are checking YOU out. lol. It's never polite to stare, if you want to see tanned woman topless go to Vancouver's exotic show lounges where the woman get completely naked, and it's ok to stare.
