Q: Are the streets, parks, public transport, etc. relatively safe?
A: I'm a single gal living in Vancouver and I've never had a problem with anyone. I don't really go out late at night on public transit so I haven't got a clue what's that's like. You may be surprised to see so many pan-handlers throughout the downtown area and sometimes that scares the tourists/newbies that come to visit/live here but most are harmless. You just need to keep yourself safe and not put yourself in harm's way.
